Have you been waiting for the opportunity to visit a sunflower field in Florida? Well, here's your chance! The Sunshine State may be known for its beautiful beaches, fun theme parks, and natural springs but did you know about the many Sunflower fields?!

Seeing row after row of blooming sunflowers is not something you'd expect in Central Florida.. but beyond the beaten path of Orlando, there are thriving family farms that harvest and grow a variety of crops - including beautiful sunflower fields.

Get the scoop on the best locations and learn what each farm has to offer.

In most places in the world, you only catch sunflowers blooming during spring. In Florida on the other hand, you get two seasons! Spring and Fall! In some places here in Florida, you can find them all year round!

Note: We recommend checking out the Facebook page or website of each farm to see the latest updates about when their sunflower fields are in full bloom. Depending on the weather, the window of time can be very small!

Sunflower picking tips:

  • Most farms communicate the status of their crops through Facebook. Check each farm's Facebook page for sunflower availability, hours of operation and any cost for entry.
  • Dress comfortably and sensibly (you are visiting a real, working farm) wear closed toe shoes, hats and sunscreen.
  • Be aware that there may be insects at these farms, so if members of your family are allergic to insects such as bees, take precaution.
